Alternative to Creosote
Ellpro Pro-Post ULTRA provides the ideal solution for Merchants and end-users looking for a user-friendly alternative to creosote treated timber. With its rich, dark colouring, Pro-Post ULTRA looks like creosote but doesn't have its problematic mess or odour. The image opposite shows a Pro-Post ULTRA post set against a pack of creosote treated stakes. Pro-Post ULTRA can be used throughout the same installation to replace posts or as a continuation of a creosote fence with minimal change in appearance.
Kiln Dried Redwood
As with the original Ellpro Pro-Post, all the raw material for our Pro-Post ULTRA range is sourced from the forests of Europe. This means slow-grown Redwoods, which are treated to Use Class 4 ground contact standards (EN335-1) to meet the requirements of BS8417 and give excellent long term performance, even in the most challenging of environments.
Tanalith Preservative
Ellpro Timber uses the latest generation TANALITH wood preservative in our high pressure treatment facilities to produce our range of high performance fencing timbers. TANALITH is a unique formulation product from Arch Wood Protection with many years of tried, tested and proven performance in markets around the world. It provides an advanced long term protection against the threat of wood decay and insect attack, especially for ground contact timbers.
Regular testing
Our Pro-Post ULTRA products will undergo continual testing to ensure they meet the precise standards required to maintain the integrity of a 25 year warranty.
Testing, involves taking UC4 treated samples and analysing with the use of X-ray Fluorescence Spectometry.
The data produced informs us that the samples meet the requirements of a 25 year warranty.

Our 25 year performance warranty gives you real confidence in their long term performance. In the unlikely event that the timber should fail due to decay or insect attack within 25 years of purchase then Ellpro timber will replace the failed timbers* providing they have been used and installed correctly and not mis-used.
