Contractors now struggling to access land to repair or erect new fencing
Floods have swept the country over the last few months, with areas of Lincolnshire and North Nottinghamshire severely affected. After a mild wet winter, farmers are having to deal with land either under water or completely saturated. This of course makes it difficult to tackle fence repair and replacement. Even where contractors are able to gain access to do the job, the conditions are far from ideal. The photograph above shows a scene overlooking farmland in Cambridgeshire. A week earlier it would not have been possible to even take this photo as the road itself was also under water.
