Inside the publication we go on to explain the features and benefits of our Pro-Post range of UC4 treated timber for in ground contact....

Merchants are forecasting a busy period as the agricultural sector turns its attention back to fencing this Autumn. Due to the mild and exceptionally wet conditions during last Winter and early Spring, much of the planned fence repair and replacement was put on hold. Landowners will be keen for contractors to complete work on fencing which is now in urgent need of attention. Ellpro Timber is ready to meet demand for machine round and natural peeled products with our UC4 Pro-Post range.
Our Pro-Post range is produced exclusively using Redwood, slow grown in the forests of Europe. It is carefully kiln dried with years of experience and the latest kilning technology, ensuring the appropriate moisture content to maximise sapwood penetration. The timber is then treated to Use Class 4 which meets the requirements of BS8417 for ground contact.
We use the latest generation TANALITH wood preservative in our high-pressure treatment facilities to produce the high-performance Pro-Post range. TANALITH is a unique formulation product from Lonza Wood Protection with many years of tried, tested and proven performance in markets around the world. It provides an advanced long-term protection against the threat of wood decay and insect attack, especially for ground contact timbers and it has been the basis for the Ellpro Pro-Post from the very beginning. TANALITH incorporates patented and award winning BARamine application technologies from Lonza Wood Protection. These BARamine technologies help further boost the already impressive performance of TANALITH to provide a more consistent and deeper penetration into the wood.
Each Pro-Post product is identity stamped. The branded identification immediately lets you know where the post is from and the year it was produced. We have real confidence in the long-term performance of the Pro-Post range because we are able to scrutinise the complete treatment process. Our partners in Latvia oversee every stage to ensure the procedure continues to meet the strict requirements of the TANALITH Treat-Right quality accolade.
An additional requirement of retaining the TANALITH Treat-Right accolade and providing the 15-year performance warranty, is that samples of the treated timber are continually made available for testing. The treated sapwood is identified and prepared for analysis by X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometry (XRF) The data provided ensures the product we bring to market is completely fit for purpose and most importantly, our customers can sell the Ellpro Pro-Post range with complete confidence.
